Gear System

In this project, I designed a gear train with two other students. The gear train takes an input of 7000W in one shaft rotating at 2000 rpm and transfers 800 rpm and 650 rpm to two other shafts. I designed the middle shaft with two gears.

 

The gear train system was assumed to be 100% efficient with a reliability of 99% and an expected lifetime of 5 years.
